Coronavirus new infections tallied 45,684 cases nationwide! (N Star)

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced 6,968 new cases of infection today. This is a decrease from last Tuesday, but the average number of new cases over the last 7 days is 104% of the number a week ago and continues to increase.

Presented by prefecture. After Tokyo, Osaka was the next most common, followed by Kanagawa, Aichi, and Saitama.

Of the infected hospitalized nationwide, 508 are seriously ill. Sixty-four new deaths have been announced.
