Tokyo: First time in 35 days that more than 30 people have been infected
The following is a list of the new coronaviruses that have been announced as of 6:30 p.m. on the 16th.
Tokyo: First time in 35 days that more than 30 people have been infected (JNN)
The number of newly infected people announced by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on April 16 was 30. This is an increase of 13 from last Thursday, and the first time in 35 days that more than 30 cases have been announced per day. The average number of new infections in the last seven days was 126.3% of last week’s figure.
Here is the announcement by prefecture. The highest number of cases was 36 in Kanagawa. This is the first time in about two months that Kanagawa has had more than 30 cases.
Of the infected people hospitalized nationwide, 27 are “critically ill”. Three new deaths have been announced.
