OSAKA - Uma mulher de 33 anos de idade foi condenada a dois anos de prisão, com pena suspensa por quatro anos, por ter deixado o corpo de sua filha recém-nascida em um armário de moedas em Osaka, em janeiro.

De acordo com a decisão do tribunal na sexta-feira, Narumi Taniguchi, sem endereço fixo, que trabalhava na indústria do sexo, deu à luz a criança em uma rua por volta da meia-noite de 30 de junho, informou a Kyodo News. Os restos mortais da criança foram encontrados dentro de uma sacola no armário de um depósito próximo à estação Juso, no bairro de Nishiyodogawa, em março.
A instalação tem armários que podem ser usados por longos períodos de tempo. Um funcionário da operadora do estabelecimento encontrou os restos mortais após verificar os armários.
O advogado de Taniguchi disse que ela não tinha dinheiro para pagar as despesas e que estava angustiada com a ideia de criar uma criança sem uma vida familiar estável.
