46-year-old man arrested on suspicion of stabbing his mother-in-law, who lived with him, with a knife because he was iritated with her.

TOKYO – A 46-year-old man was arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department for stabbing and injuring his mother-in-law with a knife at a residence in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, on March 17. The mother-in-law later died.
The suspect, Toshio Yosaki, 46, a company employee in Shinagawa Ward, was caught red-handed on suspicion of injury.
The suspect is suspected of stabbing his mother-in-law, Mieko Kato, 75, who lived with him, several times in the stomach and back with a kitchen knife and injuring her at a house in Oi, Shinagawa Ward, around 1:30 p.m. on May 17.
Kato was transported to the hospital, but was later confirmed dead.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the suspect was alone with Ms. Kato at home at the time of the incident and stated that he “got into an argument with Ms. Kato.” When questioned, the suspect admitted the charge that he “got frustrated and stabbed her.
The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the circumstances of the crime.
