AOMORI – Police arrested a 51-year-old man living in an apartment in Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture, on slashing two men with a knife and killing one of them.

The suspect, Funamizu, was arrested for the crime.

Funamizu is suspected of killing Mitsuharu Kato, 68-years old who was with his friend inside their apartment. Funamizu gutted Kato’s neck using a fruit knife before 4PM yesterday.

Also, Kato’s friend, a 69-year-old man was also stabbed. The suspect then called the police to report what happened after stabbing the victims.

On the 2nd of this month, the police received a complaint from Funamizu regarding noise in his apartment, and are investigating the connection to the incident.
