Teenager, dead after getting caught in between a wall and an overturned harvester while harvesting rice together with his father in Okayama
OKAYAMA – A high school student from Tamano who was operating a combine harvester overturned in a rice field in Arikan-cho, Takahashi City, on the 3rd of this month. The teenager has succumbed to his injuries.

In this accident, a combine harvester driven by Tokikuni Tengei (17), overturned on a slope beside a rice field at around 2:30 p.m. on October 3.
His 69-year-old father, who was harvesting rice with him, noticed a loud noise and checked to see what happened and he found his son wedged between the overturned harvester machine and the wall of the warehouse.
The victim went unconscious and in a critical condition after the accident, unfortunately he passed away at the hospital where he was taken yesterday afternoon. The police are investigating the cause of the accident, including whether there was any error in driving.
