According to the Osaka Prefectural Police, the body of a girl infant was found in a bag recovered from a coin-operated locker. The prefectural police are investigating the body with a view to possible charges of abandonment.
According to the Nishiyodogawa Police Department, at the warehouse, a coin-operated locker management company was inspecting packages collected from lockers after they had exceeded their storage period.
An employee noticed a strange odor and opened the bag. The bag in which the body was found was recovered in early February from a locker near Juso Station on the Hankyu Railway line in Yodogawa-ku, the city. Prefectural police are investigating the identity of the infant and how she died.
