OSAKA – A bones and skeleton remains were found inside a septic tank of a house in Kadoma City, Osaka Prefecture. The police are investigating the case on suspicion of abandonment of a corpse, since the manhole cover of the septic tank was locked.

On April 3, a cleaning company found what appeared to be several human bones, including a skull. According to the police, clothes were also found in the septic tank, all of which were soaked in water.
According to officials, the house had been vacant for about a year, and the contractor was conducting an inspection when a new tenant was found.
The manhole cover leading to the septic tank was believed to have been locked from the outside and could not be easily opened, and the police are investigating on suspicion that someone may have dumped the body.
