AICHI – A woman was caught in an attempt to shoplift at a convenience store in Sakae, Nagoya, on the afternoon of April 25.

The suspect, Uemura, 42-year-old woman living in Moriyama-ku, Nagoya was caught red-handed on suspicion of shoplifting.
According to the police, at around 6:55 p.m. on April 25 at the Family Mart Sakae 3-chome store in Sakae, Naka-ku, a woman bit two store employees who tried to arrest her for shoplifting by taking six items, including rice balls and canned mackerel, she went straight to the dining area without paying the bill.
Both of the two clerks suffered minor injuries with teeth marks on the base of their thumbs on their hands.
The clerk was alerted because the woman had repeatedly shoplifted in the past.
The woman denied the charges, saying “I didn’t do anything” when questioned by police.
