FUKUSHIMA – A 39-year old man was arrested from Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture on June 20 for allegedly striking a man in the face using a wooden block. The victim died due to the injury.

The incident happened around 9:20 pm in a parking lot in Takasaka, Uchigo, Iwaki City. The suspect who was named Endo, called the police himself and told them that he hit someone.

According to the report, he hit a man in the face using a block of wood and that he had punched the man.

The victim who was named Matsui, 41-year old, suffered wounds from the weapon and unfortunately, he succumbed to his wounds an hour later after being taken to the hospital.

The police plans to conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and to investigate the circumstances of the incident assuming that there was some kind of trouble between the two.
