Worker dies after falling from 15 meters above ground at construction site
TOKYO – On the afternoon of the 22nd, a man working on a tower crane at a construction site in Minato Ward, Tokyo, fell from a height of about 15 meters above the ground and died.

Just before 4:00 p.m. on the afternoon of the 22nd, Daisuke Akimoto, 42, a company employee from Chiba Prefecture, was working on a tower crane at a construction site in Toranomon, Minato-ku.
Mr. Akimoto suffered severe injuries all over his body. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, Mr. Akimoto was working with two other workers to raise the tower at the time. The cause and circumstances of the fall are unknown, and the Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the situation in detail.
