25 new inmates infected at Yokohama Prison
KANAGAWA – The Ministry of Justice has announced that two staff members and 25 inmates have been newly infected by a new coronavirus outbreak at Yokohama Prison in Kanagawa Prefecture.
The outbreak was discovered at the Yokohama Prison in Kanagawa Prefecture. According to the Ministry of Justice, two staff members and 25 inmates who were working in the same factory were newly confirmed to be infected.
At Yokohama Prison, five staff members and three inmates have been confirmed to be also infected, bringing the total number of infected inmates to 35. No one has been seriously ill, but Yokohama Prison is taking measures such as isolating infected inmates and those suspected of having close contact with the disease in private rooms.
