New coronas: 602 cases nationwide, 87 in Tokyo, first double-digit number in 11 months
On the 4th, 602 new coronavirus infections were announced nationwide.
On the 4th, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced that 87 people were newly infected. This is the first time in about 11 months that the number of people infected in Tokyo in one day has fallen below 100 since November 2nd of last year.

“In Tokyo, more than 74% of people aged 12 and over have received the vaccine, and that’s just the first dose. In other countries, there have been cases of breakthroughs even after two doses, so I would like to ask for your continued attention.
The number of infected people in Japan announced yesterday was 602, falling below 1,000 for the second day in a row and the first time since March 15 this year that the number of infected people has reached the 600 mark.
The number of people in serious condition hospitalized nationwide decreased by three from the previous day to 693, and the newly announced death toll was 24.
