As of 6 p.m., 980 new cases of the new coronavirus have been reported nationwide.

The number of newly infected people announced by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on the 5th was 144. The average number of tests in the last three days is 5,260. The average number of new infections in the last seven days is 181, which is about 60% of the number one week ago.
Osaka has more than Tokyo, with 176 cases. Others are in double digits, including 77 in Kanagawa and 67 in Saitama.
The number of infected people hospitalized nationwide who are considered “seriously ill” has decreased by 38 from the previous day to 655. The number of newly announced deaths was 33.
