At around 2:30 p.m., the extermination of bees began on Oonji Mountain in Matsumoto City. Just before noon today, children and staff of the local “Nobara Nursery School” were stung by wasps on the nearby promenade.
The children were taking a walk along the promenade about 500 meters from the trailhead as part of their outdoor activities. Six children aged 4 and 5 and seven staff members were stung, and were taken to a hospital in the city.

“This is a hornet. It’s the biggest wasp among the wasps, and it has a certain degree of aggressiveness.
According to this company, they have received nearly 30 requests for extermination in the Matsumoto area since last month.
