At around 8:30 a.m. today, a man who witnessed a bus crash on a prefectural road in Naka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, called 911. The bus was on its way to and from a kindergarten when it crashed into a block wall on the side of the road.
According to the police, there were 18 people on board the bus at the time, including 16 children, a staff member, and the driver. One of the children and the staff member suffered serious injuries, including a broken left leg, and 13 children and the driver sustained minor injuries.
